Prof. Nicandro Figueiredo is a Consultant Spinal Neurosurgeon and Professor of Neurosurgery with over 25 years of international experience across Brazil, the USA, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. He completed medical training and a PhD in Brazil, with postdoctoral training at top U.S. institutions including Johns Hopkins and the University of Wisconsin. He has served in leading academic and clinical roles, and currently practices at King’s College Hospital in Dubai. An active researcher, editor, and international speaker, he is a member of NASS and other global societies, contributing significantly to spinal surgery, education, and evidence-based neurosurgical practice.

Dr. Ahmed Quateen is a Clinical Assistant Professor at McMaster University and a dedicated neurosurgeon at Hamilton Health Services. Renowned for his expertise in neurosurgery, Dr. Quateen combines advanced surgical techniques with compassionate patient care, contributing significantly to both medical education and neurological health in the community.

Dr. Hina Naz Abbasi is a consultant Neurologist/Epileptologist, trained in the United Kingdom. She completed fellowship and research in Epilepsy from Glasgow University and attained an MSC Neurology degree in 2022. She completed CCT in Neurology in 2017 after 9 years of training at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow UK. She also holds MRCP general medicine degree from the UK. Speciality certificate examination UK 2013 from Royal of Physicians UK. She has 3 years of research experience in status epilepticus. Dr. Abbasi is the author of many international papers and publications in peer reviewed journals. She has been part of teaching faculty at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow and educational supervisor for neurology trainees for many years. Currently working at Tawam Hospital Al Ain.

My clinical expertise spans both cranial and spinal surgery, with a particular emphasis on complex spine surgery, minimally invasive approaches, and advanced techniques that improve patient outcomes.
